I need shoes for shorts that look nice. I'm not a very fashionable person, and have no idea where to even start.

This is what I wear in colder weather when I'm wearing jeans. They obviously look ridiculous with shorts. Any suggestions on what to get that would work with most shorts?

Depends on what you like.
Most would recommend a white leather sneaker by Adidas, Nike, Converse, Vans. Of course these are just lower end examples but the point is to keep it minimal and classic.

If you're more of a traditional guy, brown derbies, boat shoes, or loafers will suit your style as well.

Here's a pair of very standard white shoes by Nike. Very easy to match colors with (anything goes). Good if you want a more casual, laidback option.

Yes.

You can also wear calf socks but these are often difficult to pull off and require the right type of person and outfit.

boat shoes are the most formal you can get in shorts without looking like a dunce

some people can pull off brogues or derbies but that's much harder to do

as long as the rest of the outfit is fine there's nothing wrong with boat shoes
