why exactly are fedora's associated with mra's, autism, and atheism? I've never actually seen someone who's associated with those things outside of an internet meme actually wearing a fedora. It's just a type of hat, not even inherently ugly, but everyone takes the meme so seriously. Because so many of them actually do. I don't know if you don't venture out very often, but people with autism/aspergers love to wear those hats.

The reason is because they have a hard time understanding social cues and conventions, so they learn about whats "cool" from tv shows and animes and shit. They can identify with super simplistic characters very easily. They see the image of the suave, debonair "cool" guy from fifties media, and associate the fedora with being "classy". Except its an article of clothing that is extremely difficult to pull off.
