Not quite, tho.
Power Reserve lets the owner know how much torque is in the spring, besides how many hours will the watch run before stopping. Keeping the watch winded between 1/2 to 7/8 will assure constant force and better accuracy.

I think it's a useful feature especially if you care about accuracy and want to self-regulate your watch (most movements run faster when the PR is low). But yeah I agree, they're ugly and ruin the dial 99% of the time.

Black is all contrast but too sporty or fieldy. Leave that for the Explorer's and other pro models. By default that leaves blue.

I like Moser's watches, but something about them seems like a scam. They're asking too much money for what is little more than a pretty dial. Their production increases every year, so their watches become less and less scarce on the secondary market. I don't believe they'll increase in value in the long run.

I've noticed that the most overpriced watches - Rolex, Royal Oak, Nautilus, Richard Mille, etc - all have a very masculine aesthetic. Moser's watches have a more feminine aesthetic.

Worse still, when you actually handle an IWC, you realize that the dial work and case finishing are literally no different than the Damasko.

The price difference entirely comes down to prestige pricing and an """in-house""" movement which is actually a valfleurier movement.

Not saying IWC's never made interesting watches, but it's been a couple decades at least. People who buy IWCs these days are just gullible.

N/A. I haven't had to have mine serviced yet. I've only had it for four years, bought it new.
It's still running +1.25 spd, which is what it did on the day I bought it. I don't service a watch unless it needs it. If the timekeeping is still good, if the winding is still smooth, it doesn't need service.
Modern watches simply don't need servicing that often. Even Rolex now says their service intervals are 10 years, though there's countless examples of old Rolexes going decades and running fine.

Any good radio controlled watches in the lower price range?

> Your budget
Up to 300, preferably around 200.
> Watch type, e.g. dress, diver, pilot
Doesn't matter.
> Movement, e.g. automatic, hand wound, quartz
Solar quartz.
> Desired features, e.g. water resistance, day/date, 2nd time zone
Radio controlle, non-digital.
> Preferred strap option, e.g. leather, nylon, bracelet
Bracelet.
> Wrist size or desired watch size
Under 42mm.

I need a watch to keep as reference for setting all my other watches.
Best one I've found so far is the CB0260 but I don't like titanium plus it looks too similar to my SARB033

"Worth" is whatever you're willing to pay.
It's a luxury product and the prices of luxury products of all kinds have exploded since 2020. That's just a fact. Prices have climbed but buyers have been right there with them, which lets the industry know that luxury watches had actually been undervalued for quite some time.

Some people may be a little...for lack of a better term, humiliated, that they used to be in the class of luxury watch buyers and no longer are.

For stunting on people who think who think they're rich but are actually middle class? Hell yes. Middle-class Eric in his leased, non-AMG, C-Class becomes absolutely incensed.
