Don't buy the bronze meme, especially from c-list/d-lister brands.
Cheapo chinky "bronze" alloys have ludicrously high lead contents that leech into your skin. Also since you're the mouth-breathing type to purchase a bronze watch in the first place means that you'll likely be putting that watch into your mouth every so often, exacerbating the lead issue. speedy is the pinnacle of cope watch. the outdated watch you buy when you cant get the daytona and you pretend to like its inferior specifications because supposedly it was first watch worn on the moon. only a double digit retard would believe that men were on the moon in 1969. and only a special kind of double digit retard would believe after achieving something so complex, would they rely on a single kind of wristwatch for anything.
man was on the moon, but much, much later. 1969 was a blatant lie to change the public perception of the space race, that the soviets have been winning, LITERALLY every single step of the way up until the point when nasa overnight achieved in sending man to the moon when only 8 years earlier they managed to send a man to space in first place
by comparison, it tok spacex 20 years with todays technology to go from unmanned to manned flights
i dont deny that man was on the moon, but he sure as hell wasnt in 1969 and when he was, he tok more than one kind of watch with himself
moonwatch coping was built on a lie to sell outdated product at probably the greatest markeup of any kind of sub 100 000$ watch in the world

I think omega is mostly a cope in general, chinese made trash etc., but in this instance the penismoon is it's own watch. Tudor's entire raison d'etre is to be the aspirational stepping stone to Rolex. AKA a cope brand. Brand created to be cope < brand that is the default cope.

I say this because you've already got two mid-tier watches. A DJ and Explorer or some shit would just be more mid-tier (upper-mid but still mid).

It's trying to be simultaneously a sports watch and a dress watch (they even sell it with a complimentary leather strap). It reminds me of these dressed shoes/sneakers hybrids that tasteless retards wear.

The anon you're quoting is making a huge mistake. The smart thing to do would be to sell the Santos and buy a proper dress watch like a Tank, a gold Reverso or some vintage Piaget.
The Santos only "works" in smart casual outfits, but so does the Explorer. It will look absolutely stupid and out of place in a more rugged outfit, while the Explorer will 100% works. And of course it will look gaudy with a suit.

Not an honest question, actually a bad-faith question designed to troll, but I'll answer you anyway.

They look cheap because you've been trained to equate tons of dial furniture and text with "expensive". Large empty spaces become anathema to someone who's swallowed too much marketing.
If you actually look at the dials under a loupe, you will notice the quality of the printing, the fine quality of the texture work, the finish work on the furniture and hands, the subtle and restrained use of color.

It's not a watch that screams. It speaks in a polite but assertive voice to tell you that you've been evicted. Whether you listen or not, is irrelevant. Your shit will be on the side of the road in 24 hours one way or the other.

I don’t even know what you mean. Applied numerals, good finishing for the price, varied materials. The only way you can do a dress watch dial better is by moving way up market to ultra-luxury tier where dials are solid sterling silver or brass or gold. If you’re complaining about design then I don’t know, you can get everything from a two handed dress watch to a grande sonnerie from JLC. I will say lots of the early-mid 2000s era JLCs have design elements that aged very, very poorly but they have mellowed out quite a bit.

Agreed, but if you boil the strap and bezel in water for about 10 minutes they soften right up. It's a fairly common trick.

I don't know if it hurts longevity but I've beaten the shit out of it for 10 years and it shows no signs of cracking or tearing.

Gave regulating my watch another try today, it's honestly pretty fun keeping track of it. In the few months I've owned it, it's been very consistent, +/-2SPD, but it always loses time. Last time I got about -10SPD out of it, the other day I got it down to -4SPD, but ideally I want to be at about +2SPD, so I've over tweaked it slightly this time. Probably doesn't help that my timing sensor is just sticking it on top of my phone with the back off, but I'm not made of money, I'm not buying a timegrapher for the sake of one watch.
