I have trouble understanding why I like that look.

In a way, tattoos are just a simple bonus to a look. It changes your appearance in a permanent but not aggressive way (unless you tattoo your face).

I believe tattoos should affect those who have them more deeply than the observers. If you see tattoos and feel affected by them, you already lost. You are a victim of your pre-conceptions.

At the the same time, I do like the look, so you could say that I am too affected by other's tattoos. However, it causes a simple reaction that I deem ultimately unimportant. It's just an accessory.

Try to appreciate what you like and not attribute negativity to what others feel is a good aesthetic.

And those of you who do tattoos, just make sure you do like the look and wouldn't feel anxious with something permanent on your skin.

At the end of the say, it's not a big deal. These threads are obvious bait by tattoo haters, but I hope at least it brings interesting discussion instead of just name calling

I don't have any tattoos but the only one I'd probably get done is a traditional koi fish tattoo on my back to represent the struggles my family went through to be able to provide my sister and me a good education.

I'd probably only get it once my uni degree is done to have a "closure" on that chapter of my life.
