Serious question /fa/,

I'm male, 25, and moving to Washington DC for work this fall and will working in a predominantly corporate/office environment. General dress code seems to be mostly business attire. Is my life over? Do you guys have any inspo for fashionable "professional/office" Attire outside of your typical cubicle drone suit/tie combo? I feel like full dadcore/wannabe GQ is in my immediate future and I'm honestly kind of bummed out by that.

tl;dr: What do you guys wear at work?

Thomy b. His stuff is dressy and works in a business environment but can also be fun and looks good.

you could always try not being a total hipster

seriously just because you have have to dress for business doesn't mean you're dadcore and if you think it does you should hang yourself

Yes,basically it's over.

welcome in the men's world. You have like 3 legitimate colours, a couple of suit that may just have different drop but always fitt to you so...basically the same.

Now you have to play with this in order to make something personal

Calm down. I'm mainly looking for fun/interesting ways to dress in what will be a pretty conservative environment when it comes to dress-code. I'll be working with primarily military officers and older unfashionable government/consultant types. I don't want to stick out too much but I also don't want to look like shit. I'm just looking for advice from other people who maybe have to deal with the same thing, and a little inspo here or there.

Grow up.

Dressing in a suit and/or business casual is not "dadcore." That's a nonsense term used by 17 year olds on here because they've never slipped into a good suit and they have daddy issues.

Get good, fitted suits and wear them with strong patterns and unique combinations. Keep everything immaculately clean and fitted and roll with the aesthetic. Your youth can come from the fit of the clothing, which should be slimming, unique, and should stand out on its own merit.

The D.C. scene is indeed all about dress clothes, but most people here fuck it up so badly it's embarrassing. It's really not hard to look relatively put together, especially if you are playing with patterns and fit. Around here, given the Southern flair of the area, you can pretty much go hogwild with obnoxious preppy patterns, which I highly recommend you do.

(PS: Girls like men in suits.)
