I knew Fran for maybe, I dunno, a year to a year and a half in grade school. Great kid who didn't bitch about the cards he got dealt, though his parents were definitely very protective of him and given their success, they used their money as they saw fit to keep him happy. He was always a collector, always looking for a full set, to have information, to know all the details about what he got. As kids, obviously that was stuff like Beanie Babies, card games, video games, so I'm frankly not surprised that he parlayed it into other categories that are more suitable as an adult.

I don't hold his parents' wealth against him and his own passion and curiosity meant that he genuinely loved knowing about what he was collecting, even if it was easier for him than another kid down the block to buy a bunch of stuff. Happy to see that he's still so enthused about things.
