Yes it looks weird anyways because it is rick, but here it looks even stranger. If someone was to see your torso and then look at your pants they would be shocked. If I stare at your shoes I would expect some cropped trousers with a traditional fit not some drop crotch. This is me being critical, but in the end you dress what you feel like, and that's more important.

good fit. don't let these /fa/ggots deter you. Dress however the fuck you want man. Where you live, who you socialise with, where you work or how much money you make has nothing to do with how you should dress. That is such backward ass pigeon-holing thinking from a board that used to dickride the goofninja aesthetic 24/7. Sure if you live in some shitty suburb you might get strange looks from people, but who gives a fuck, you aren't dressing for them anyway.
I really dig this fit. Its got that goofninja element, but it actually kind of works in my eyes because 1. you're tall enough and it doesn't make you look like a manlet having a knee length drop 2. low profile shoes keep it modest.

Well done for doing something new and experiementing, ignore these trolls that couldn't put a creative outfit together if their lives depended on it.

And don't you own any mall-tier basic tees and stuff? I'm aiming to do something similar but considering how i fare with stains n such dont think thats a good idea

>> No.9950849

They're really nice by far the nicest leather I've handled. Really thick bison leather that feels almost oily, and yes they have a very exaggerated silhouette. Its very reminiscent of Carpe/MA+ shoes.

Yeah I do still own a shit ton of AA tees I first bought when I first started I wear them pretty rarely now. They were great for the time but now they don't really fit with my current wardrobe.

Assuming they're basic tees wouldn't they be fairly easy to incorporate? Or is it the cutting that's weird? I've never really had the inclination to cop tees from rick n stuff (not exactly my thing) so i stick to qlo atm.

Was looking for something like devoa but had 2nd thoughts about the silhouette. Also considered jun hashimoto, 10sei0ottos and attachment footwear at one point but found none that fits what i like atm.

>> No.9951006

>>9950972
They're fine, the tees themselves have nothing wrong with them. The cut is just really boring, if anything I use them as a base layer. Also I have a few tees with similar cuts to the AA tees but with slightly better cuts and much higher quality material. Those brands you listed are all find but they're kind of third rate "artisinal" brands. Try Individual Sentiments or Lost & found maybe, they have pretty similar to Devoa, MA+ and all those but I think slightly lower price point.

Thanks for the input. I had IS pants and they were phenomenal, nice to hear their footwear game is the same.

Also didn't know Ria Dunn does footwear. Will look into it.

Out of curiosity, when you say 3rd rate, does it have to do with how some (well mainly jun) just seems to ride on the coat tails of carpe diem or is it more on the basis of their designs, derivative or otherwise?

Also interested to hear what you think about lumen et umbra

>> No.9951275

>>9951066
Don't know to much about hashimoto(is he head of WJK?) But attachment and 10s both to me make very derivative designs with less than satisfactory execution. Attachments parkas and bombers are p nice though. There is nothing wrong with them, I would just prefer other brands if I had the choice.

Don't know to much about Lumen but I always see it grouped together with IS, L&F, Devoa, LUC and stuff like that. The pieces I've seen look really nice though and from what I'm looking at right now they seems to have some amazing knits.

What I did was buy basically a pod wardrobe literally all from AA. Obviously you don't have to do this but what ended up happening was every piece(designer or not) fit in quite well because of how simple the pieces from AA were. If you like the fairly conservative look with interesting details which from the picture of your closet it looks that way. I would find a designer that holds a similar aesthetic and start collecting pieces from them and other similar designers. I would say the most important thing is finding an aesthetic/designer that you love and would love to wear. If you can find that I'm a sure you will start to make a more interesting and cohesive wardrobe.

All fantastic stuff.
Sruli's patterns are really precise and interesting. The use of laser cutting allows him to make sharp angles and darts and still keep the organic feel of the garments. The materials are also really excellent. The sweater has great feel and texture and the bamboo pants I have are silky and drape perfectly. Wool leggings are so finely knit, almost spidery. Sruli also drop casts all closures/hardware in his studio for a unique look and feel.

The Viridi-Anne pants are also quite nice. They're a mid/heavyweight wool with nice details like side loops for hangers and small hook and eye closures running down the calves to essentially choose the taper.

The Viridi-Anne reminds me a bit of Helmut Lang in that the design walks a good line between interesting and wearable. The attention to small details and quality makes VA a solid label to base a wardrobe around.

Mostly J.Crew and Brooks Brothers button-downs and corduroy pants, but I'm working my way up slowly and passively, what select few things to "boast" about are:

Pants:
RL Purple Label corduroys
Gant Rugger pants
Rag & Bone selvedge jeans

Shoes:
Crockett & Jones Monks, black
Crockett & Jones Bermudas
Grenson Chisholme boots
Cole Haan shell cordovans
AE loafers

Jackets/Coats
Filson Double Mackinaw wool jacket
Ermenigildo Zegna tweed jacket
Brooks Brothers double-breasted navy jacket
RL wool varsity cardigan, oxblood (favorite piece)
RL corduroy/leather coat

Things I've acquired from thrift stores that don't fit, but will eventually sell:

YSL grey herringbone coat, size 44
Burberry Prorsum blazer size 38
Loro Piana blazer size 40

Shirts:
Burberry Prorsum tartan (plaid? not the gaudy check) shirt
RL Black Label cashmere sweater
