people currently in final year of highschool, what are your plans for next year?

>finish school in November because ausfaqq
>turning 18 three days after school
>moving to melbourne and applying at melb. uni & monash
>brother and sister both live down there separately so i have someone to fall back on and stay with initially
>need to take at least $4000 to move there (from near perth)
>no idea how im going to get all my stuff there (bed, musical instruments & car)
>hopefully get into Bach. of Science, if not just work on my music for a year and reapply later
>no friends to get a house with
>no rental history either
>thoughts?

I'm going to Western next year, one of Canada's most respected universities

My mommy and daddy are paying for everything so I don't have a worry in the world

Just can't wait to graduate from hs tbh

And I want to find a job or volunteer thing this summer (preferably the former) but idk how

>> No.9913472

o yeah, sounds pretty good. how does uni fees work in canada? australians get a government loan with zero interest for a few years, or at least how i understand it and uni is relatively expensive.

yeah im stuck in a shitty, suburban town and just want to do my own thing

You dont seem too fucked to be honest. Even though western is so trash, youve still got other options. Since I know a bunch of people everywhere, I can break down what each of your top choices are like.

Western - Very party heavy school. The business major is where most sleazey people go in to. The parties are a little bit too crazy since they love their hook up culture. Literally everyone hooks up with everyone. If youre a girl going into business I'm sure 90% of people would look down on you even if youre not like most of the other people, its just assumed that if a girl is taking business at western, she's sucked more than 12 dudes off in one night. Their program isn't very hard but could be a little bit rewarding.

Laurier - A better school than Western IMO, still very party heavy, but most of the time they are overshadowed by guelph since they're very close. Business program there i would say is arguably better than Western. The downside is that its mostly stinky indians there, but take that as you will.

UoTsc - Not too sure about this one. If you only got into an entry level program there, I wouldn't go because its an entry level program. The only ELP I would do is King's College out in Halifax since their english program is amazing.

Mac - very nice school, I dont think their business program is too great. It's in Hamilton sooo... the location is pretty shitty

Ryerson - Nice school since its in toronto, you'd never run out of things to keep you occupied once you hit legal age to drink. Its not the most prestigious school, but its nice and very small.

IDK your other choices though since you havent listed them, I'd be glad to help out though since university is a pretty huge deal. Also, tuition is usually 4k per semester so that'll get you to about 10k per year. Its definitely not that cheap like you said
