they used to be super easy around 2008, my friends would go into the store around 1am and just jack shit. Then around 2012 they started hiring LP and when i worked there the head of LP told me that an employee paid their NYU tuition with stolen clothes.

Urban Outfitters used to be super easy as well, I'm not sure if their tags are still detectors.

I just came from club monaco today and their accessories are pretty easy to steal, they had tanner good wallets, and inside was the sticker detector. Just toss that out and walk out with a wallet

Patrick Bateman, could I get your opinion on Virgil Abloh's Off-White? Are any of their pieces "worth" buying?

I'd just like to know what your view on certain "overpriced" brands is. It's undeniable that Off-Whites is mostly stripes printed onto oversized clothes, sold for a huge markup, but one could say the value lies not in the cheap materials, but in Abloh's designs and the angle from which he approaches streetwear. Your thoughts?

If you want an honest opinion? There's a lot of Off-White stuff that I've seen that I think is cool. No question there's artistic merit in a lot of it, and frankly, that shouldn't even be a question raised.

That being said, as you admit, it's unquestionable that (1) the prices are exorbitant, and (2) the designs are "mostly stripes printed onto oversized clothes." It cannot be the case that any of those articles of clothing would be a reasonable or "worth it" purchase for the vast majority of people on this board, including myself. This is especially the case where you could actually duplicate the look yourself.

But if you're actually concerned about it, go for it. Your money, your balance of priorities. If I had an extreme amount of cash or different priorities, I wouldn't blink an eye at blowing cash on jackets with stripes on them.

Not effay, but me and my, then, girlfriend ripped H&M for about 700 dollars worth of clothing in under an hour. I knew I couldn't stop her, so the least I could do was to minimize risk and try to do shoplifting with grace (I know right). We had to stop the plundering because the store was closing. She wore 7 bras exiting. Everything we couldn't use, we sold. Fun fun times, got some of the tags in a notebook somewhere. I later found out she had BPD, then it all made sense to me. If bitch weren't so crazy to be around, I'd never have to pay for basic clothing again. Shit.
