Ever since i had my first 8 minute cigar (basically a skinny cigar) I don't enjoy cigarettes. The cigarillos have a much richer stronger taste and since they are too strong to be inhaled (unless you want to die at the age od ~30) it doesnt affect you quite as much as cigarettes would. Smoking one is worse than smoking a cigarette, sure, but if I'm sitting at a pub somewhere for 4-5 hours with a pack of these, I'll smoke two or three, and if its a pack of cigarettes I can say goodbye to an entire pack; so you end up smoking less.
I also get nicotine high from them if I do end up inhaling too much of it, only issue is a pack of these is 5.5€ here, and you can buy packs of normal ciggarettes at less than 1.5€ (2€ for Marlboro, and some local brands are as low as 1.4€)

American Spirit Unfiltereds are my go-to smoke for nothing special. I'll pick up a pack of English Ovals, Lucky's, or Nat Shermans for a party, but I think in terms of smoking and trying to remain as healthy as I can, Spirits help with their longevity. I feel like I had the smoker's equivalent of a full course meal after a single Spirit.

I started on Spirits so I always feel obligated to double-dip in anything that burns shorter. Was in fucking hell when I took a trip to Vietnam and smoked all manner of shit, 555, White Horse, Southeast Asia Marbs, and smokes lasted maybe 2 minutes compared to my glorious 8 minute unfiltered smoke. RYO is great but, again, it's a matter of longevity and I fucked up with tobacco I bought getting dried out for the stupidest of reasons and haven't been assed to get a humidifier to salvage it (this was months ago, long since a lost cause).
