Seriously, can we ditch this whole stereotyping gay men thing? My best friend is gay and he dresses like shit and also happens to be one of the least cleanly men I know. I'm straight and I enjoy fashion and have an appreciation for both mens and women's clothing. One has nothing to do with the other.

sexuality does not influence one's fashion sense. being brought up in a culturally rich environment is the biggest influence on one's fashion sense, and culturally rich environments like artistic communities are generally more welcoming to homosexuals than mainstream society. i think this explains why a lot of designers are homosexual

It also depends on where you live really. In my home town--which is a small town in Norway--I can't dress very /fa/. But when I travel or go to one of the neighbouring larger cities, I dress more fashionable and people appreciate the effort. At least I often get complimented by effay chicks on my clothing.
