I read the sticky and it has this to say:
>Dress shirts should generally not be worn causally and should be tucked in.

I'm getting tired of wearing regular cotton t-shirts and I want to change my look a little from time to time. I will be wearing similar shoes as the guy in my picture. So am I good to go /fa/?

I personally think it looks good, but only with the sleeves rolled up and no socks/ loafer socks

Sport shirts are fine for casual wear. There are plenty of great poplin, oxford, broadcloth, chambray, end-on-end, and other fabrics cut into sport shirts that are easy to wear casually with things like casual tailored shorts.

Ah I see. I didn't know I was going into a fratboy dudebro stereotype. Thanks for your counsel /fa/. I'll stick to cotton shirts.

Nah man, you don't have to stick to cotton shirts.
If you want to wear dress shirts, I'd recommend not wearing them with shorts is all.
My general rule of thumb is long sleeve shirts and shorts don't mix, but short sleeve shirts and long pants/shorts are fine.
Depending on your style, I'd look at some woolen pants mixed with a dress shirt, though that might come off as too formal.

I gotcha. I'll look into buying some sport shirts to go with my shorts then.

I have a pair of tommy bahama loafers myself. They are comfortable and I love them.

Don't let /fa/ tell you what to wear, dude. That look is fine and if you're in college it's popular right now. /fa/ just hates anything that isn't all black or super hipster tryhard le ironic core :^)

Get a long sleeve polo or a popover, a linen or madras shirt, any kind of patterned casual shirt, etc.

A dress shirt just does not look good tucked into shorts, and I say this AS a frat boy.

Yes, that is perfectly fine. Just avoid fratcore like >>9813522

magenta shirts are not /fa/

the filters on that picture make the shorts look neon, they're actually nantucket red.
