jesus /fa/, I've had just about up to here with my fucking hair. My hair is naturally tight and nappy (scotfag) and i've been buying boxes of relaxer kits for the past year. It's unbearable to look at damp and even more disgusting dry unless i flatiron it for like 30 min. How do i manage this shit with less frustration and half the time? how do i properly brush it without pulling out chunks of hair?
>pic unrelated; i have medium long hair

Just wanted to post that I found my perfect hair style
I have short-medium straight hair
Before, I would just comb my hair to one side and hope it says
But now I'm showering, then I blow dry my hair and comb it back
It's puffy, soft, fuzzy, and absolutely perfect because it doesn't make my face look stupid
Dreams do come true

Gratz tripfag this is now the worst thread ever.

Embrace it. Nicely kept curly hair is much more impressive than a cliche'd straight hairstyle. There has to be something you can do.

Anyone have success stories or a guide on relaxing your own hair? I fucking hate my coarse hair.

learn to love your hair and do something with it.
Perm's burn and you have to repeat the perming process for new growth every couple months its not worth it.

If its so much like black people's hair why not go into the black hair thread?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Relaxer

If you are really hell bent on putting chemicals in your hair, look into texturizers which are weaker/safer relaxers, that will loosen your curls and not give you bone straight hair

What the hell does a perm actually do to your hair? Like if you have pretty normal, not super thick and slightly wavy/curly hair what would be the end result after getting it permed?
