If you're not looking for an exaggerated foot shape then they're the completely wrong shoe for you. Ramone lows fit similarly to a chunky chukka boot.

Ah I think you misunderstood, the chunky silhouette is part of the reason I like them so much, I'd just rather they look proportional. Just trying to make sure considering my disproportionate measurements. They could easily end up looking comically oversized rather than intentionally chunky.

Well, unlike the highs, the throat doesn't have enough space to slim up and create the silhouette all on it's own, but if you stay away from leg openings that are ankle tight they shouldn't look like clown shoes. Maybe having an inch of play so that the silhouette is broken by the, well, break, of your pants.

I like how in old photos of Rick you can see him attempt to find the ideas he had in already-existing clothing and not really hitting the mark. As his designs matured he was finally able to live out exactly what he was looking for. Kinda inspirational, imo.

I personally don't like Island Dunks at all. If you honestly are to stupid to find out yourself, the shoes are made of blistered leather which is a process of treating the leather to make it looked distressed. He uses it in a lot of his leather pieces.
