Why can't I get myself to cuff my pants? I know people do it, but I just feel so damn tryhard doing it myself. Why is this even a thing?

bending pants is almost always a bad idea. if your pants are resting on the laces of your shoe, that's appropriate. if you have to bend them to get them to reach this point, that's okay. if they're already at that point and you bend them, you fucked up. if they don't even reach that low and you bend them, you're a fashion victim. if they can't get around the upper of the shoe (as in OP's picture), you're wearing the wrong type of pants for the shoe.

i do it to like mid calf and wear my shoes with no socks. dont care if it looks dumb, so if you see me irl, you go ahead and laugh man. i did it with boots one time, just to the top of the boot, and got laughed at, granted it was several years and we were in high school. i also go for walks a lot and walk through water so its semi practical and i like to think it looks like thats what im going to be doing.
