I form fitted a rubber pigeon mask. I attached a basic mask with good eyeholes into the inside of the pigeon mask, to make sure the pigeon doesn't shake or move to much while I moved/ran. Your visibility won't be ideal but if you're fast that shouldn't matter. I wore all gray to go with the pigeon theme, running shoes are your best friend here, be sure to do something about the bottom hem of your pant legs, getting stuck on something is a nightmare

That's what I imagine the OP of this thread will look like during whatever he's going to do.

look in the mirror and be honest with what you see in your body. are you long legged? avoid bomber jackets and high waisted trousers. wear low cut jeans and long shirts etc. do the equivalent for short legs if you are short legged.

also be honest about what you normally look like to other people. do you have a haircut/glasses/whatever that work on your face (for example, square frames and short back and sides for a round face)? then you wear round glasses and paste your hair to your head with brylcreem or something.

wear colours that you never normally would wear.

wear shoes with a heel if you don't normally or wear any shoes which visibly alter the way you walk.

basically, look at every feature of yourself and your style which people currently recognize as 'you', and change it all in some way.

obviously if you have facial hair, shave it off.

don't use DMs, they're horrible for running in, regardless of any 'stealth' advantage(s) (which i doubt given the noise they make and movement restriction compared to say, running shoes) they may provide. As far as headgear goes, a simple neck gaiter/scarf/windbreaker should do the trick and wont look as suspicious as a fucking chicken mask. The lighter and breathable the better (trust me, you'll want all the oxygen you can get when running away from your lack of better judgement). Do wear tapered trousers (if not, martial arts gear suppliers usually stock cuffed ones). Don't wear anything that would look conspicuous if worn outside of said activity. Do wear something that can easily be removed/modified to break your silhouette if needed. If possible pack your back in a different bag which you can ditch. Good luck and stay safe anon... Oh and for the love of fuck DO NOT bring your phone and/or anything that can identify you or your operation should you get caught (if you do bring your phone, which you should SHOULD NOT bring, at least turn your location services/geotagging off - this isn't the time to 'pimp' your fucking instagram/facebook). Lastly make sure you eat and sleep right beforehand and again, all the best.

Perhaps but unless OP is living in asia, surgical masks are a fairly uncommon accessory to be wearing outside of medical facilities.

I honestly think you'd be better off wearing high vis and a dust mask. This would be better if we knew what you were doing

I don't know what you're trying to do OP but it sounds really fun. The only piece of advice I have is that skin reflects a lot of light at night, if you're trying to hide from cameras the best is to cover your skin as best as possible.

Thanks this was helpful. I'm not dumb enough to bring my personal cellphone with me either. i'll do the mirror thing too and try and change myself, but I can't wear anything impractical. The reason i thought of an animal mask because it just took your entire head out of the limelight, I forgot to consider oxygen when I'm in a pinch and I might get in some tight squeezes as well

It would be helpful if i/we knew what sort of cameras will be watching you. Most commercial areas employ outside security providers (which i have worked with/for extensively in the past) who will usually equip the place (be it a mall, shopping centre etc.) with the cheapest kind, black and white oftentimes, the kind that will not be able to capture infrared light because of the filters they use, meaning that should you invest in a few IR LEDs and place them strategically around your headgear your face will be a nice, big, white spot.
