what the fucking shit is this? basements at the top? you like living in a dingy hole?

attics second? maybe if you're living with your bros in college but when you want a real place to live, low sloped ceilings are bullshit.

any rankings that don't put "penthouse" as most /fa/ are full of shit

Getting bored of my attic room. I want to rearrange everything.
Annoying thing is that the aerial lead for the TV only comes out in one place so they TV has to stay there, ruining everything

I just realized that's a fairly old picture. It's essentially the same now, though. I just have an annoying footrest in front of the chair that was given to me. It's there until I can get rid of it.

The worst part is the back half of the room which is why I've never posted it. The left corner is where I've stuck my record player, amps, and the black chair that was in the right hand side of the old picture.
The right corner is just a wasted alcove where I dump all my crap. Don't know what to do with it.

I just want to redo the whole thing

Um, free doritos and mountain dew is a pretty valid reason, actually.

Attics seem like a great idea until you realize they tend to have low ceilings, poor insulation, not many power outlets, and dust fucking EVERYWHERE. However, if you manage to clean out an attic and get it nice and livable, they can make decent hangouts. Don't bother trying to live in one unless it was specifically made to be a comfortable room, though

Are you britfag? Housing over here is fucking terrible. Looking at £200k for the average 3 bedroom house, same money gets you a 4 bedroom house in Connecticut.

I live in Wales. A crack den like this will cost you £70,000.
Our generation in this country either rents a tiny, tiny apartment for £500 a month that you will never own, or you live with your parents until you are 30. It is becoming more and more common because no one can afford anything. And if you can afford anything, it is a tiny cramped piece of shit.

Those houses are cheap for a reason, you'll literally need a 4x4 to get around. Anywhere worth moving to is just a shitty price. The midlands can be nice but it's boring as fuck. The south is extortionate unless you're near to a seaside town and those houses are cheaper because of all the chavs. You'd find a much, much nicer house elsewhere in Europe or even in America.

>> No.9638363

Im at uni in Loughborough and it's wank
parent's house in in Southend and you're right the house prices there are pretty cheap in the scummy areas, but there are places down the road that have million pound properties

>you'll literally need a 4x4 to get around
why? they do have roads and if you live in a village everything is walking distance

you get a lot more for your money in America but all of the houses are shitty build quality and all look the same, not for me personally

Ah I lived in leicester for years, my ex lived in Rothley and the houses were great, as much as I love living in England, I live in the South East now and the only well priced houses are seaside terraced houses. I live in the outskirts of Dover and it's nice here but the town is dreadful.
