Function over form everytime. I bought a Dakine Heli Pro in black some years ago. I've skied 5 full seasons on it, traveled extensively with it, taken it through college and now I use it for my work gear. And it cost me $60. I doubt a $60 fashionable backpack would last anywhere near that amount of time or abuse

I have three Chrome bags, including the Barrage. Its a nice looking bag, and it can carry a ton of shit, but if it's going to be your everyday (school maybe) bag then I wouldn't suggest it. The lack of a front zip pocket means that the easiest access you have is unclipping and then unrolling the main compartment. It doesn't sound like much but it's actually pretty annoying if you just need to store your keys or a laptop or whatever. I'd highly recommend it for say, grocery runs on a bike, but for small daily use it isn't your best choice for the money.

dakines are decent quality but its hard to find them in non childish colorways, i bought one when i was a kid, its still going strong today, id say that mission is the closest to an /fa/ backpack

Currently looking to get a hiking backpack as the weather as the weather gets warmer

How do you guys feel about camo hiking backpacks? Personally I don't want to seem like some autistic operator, but the camo looks much better than some bright blue colour.

I owned a shitty blue Adidas back pack during highschool

It did its job fine, and never got damaged despite constantly carrying heavy loads and being tossed around a lot.
