Thoughts? Seems more casual and a little more unique than L'Homme, but I didn't get a good whiff of L'homme as I did this one. Seems good for a day-to-day college student's spring frag.

Or should I give L'homme a chance?

Amazingreen is probably CdG's safest fragrance, it's fine but nothing really special and would work for spring. Wonderwood is probably too heavy for spring but pretty great. Haven't tried Wonderoud.

Tell me about Encre Noire.
It's really well-rated on basenotes but negative comments are very angry about the scent, saying it smells like weed.

The patchouli note gives more of a wet earth smell rather than the smell of tokin' da 'errb. Some people absolutely love it, and some hate it.
It's a very polarizing fragrance.

>>9589202
In the same vain as this guy, what about dark/edgy perfumes?

>> No.9589522

>>9589443
Well, it certainly has an earthy and smoky smell, but I wouldn't say it smells like weed though, more like a campfire. It's primarily a vetiver based fragrance but not in the way most vetivers are--that is, used in a very clean & soapy way--this one is dirty and focuses more on those earthy qualities.

If you can find a sample I would definitely go that route, its not a safe blind buy.

FWIW, a 'sport' flanker was just released and from what I understand it actually retains many of the qualities of the original. It might be a safer route into seeing if you like this kind of scent. It also would be a better purchase for right now with the warmer months approaching

A TA's main concern will be discretion. You need to wear something subtle, that shows that you can keep things on the DL. And something that's not going to leave a trail of evidence on him.

So, not some flower-and-candy screamer. That rules out about 90% of women's perfumes. Go from there and figure out what you like.

Amazingreen is clean, but one-dimensional. Wonderwood is a bit wintry but if you live somewhere with a colder spring, it could work. Wonderoud is nothing special. If you want an oud scent, there are much better, much cheaper options out there.

>> No.9596108

>>9589443
Very masculine and outdoorsy without being animalic (like Aventus) or too reliant on one note (like Wonderwood). I can see the associations with the patchouli and the marijuana smoke but I didn't get that with a skin test. The vetiver is really well used here without feeling dated.
