what can I do about haircuts for my large forehead?

Right now is usually the longest I have it at before I get it cut. My hair is usually pretty dry and it stands up by itself naturally (not using any gel or product in the picture) so having hair that swoops down my forehead is kind of impossible because it won't lie straight.

You're close to the right style, though. Grow the front fringes longer. I hear Groom and Clean has a medium strength hold, keeps your hair looking relatively damp, and is water-based so it washes out easy. It's an old grandpa product, though, so it may be harder to find.
