I need a new spring/summer fragrance. I was thinking about getting Eau d'Orange Verte by Hermes, but I've heard mixed reviews what do you recommend. Preferably in the $60-$100 range

But make sure to do a skin test. Citrus can fool you. I thought Dior Homme Cologne was my next buy after smelling it on paper. Then I did a skin test, and it turned out to be actually pretty unbearable.

Acqua Di Gio is pleb tier, but god is it delicious during summer. Women truly do love the scent and it's not as commonly used as One Million, there is polls and statistics about both of these statements.

Speaking from personal experience, both men and women has given me creds for it, you won't even notice the scent during winter or clubs and other crowded areas unless they come close

Certain scents can be too strong for summer wear. Also, iirc summer scents are more water based whereas winter scents are more alcohol based. The heated alcohol might become too strong under the heat.

Also take atmosphere into account. During the summer, it's hot and fun. Fragrances try to compliment that by using aquatic notes (the beach) and more fruity stuff.
In the winter, it's darker and the atmosphere changes, so darker heavier notes become more prominent

So take season and time of day into account
