im sorry if i wasnt clear.

I meant that I got my money back from my purchase of my Doc Marten 1461's by bringing them back to the store that I bought them from. With that money, I bought Clarks Desert Boots in suede. Because the Clarks Desert Boots are so comfy, I have not regretted my purchase.

CDB's don't chaff your ankle to oblivion, sure, but i don't think they're that comfy

no arch support, no cushioning, it's very flat and wobbly and has little structure

speaking of entry-level dumb leather shoes, my laces in my beeswax CDB's have broken and i need to buy some more.

should i get laces in a non-stock color?

pic-related, but maybe not that color

>> No.9519855

I'll help y'all out.

Wear 2 pairs of thick ass socks. The more your feet sweat the better because the heat and pressure/friction will stretch the leather out like nobodies business.

Wear bandaids on the areas where it rubs as this will prevent blisters and painful callouses. If one is not enough, then place 2 or 3 on top of each other.

Broke in countless boots and oxfords with this method. Don't put them in hot water or in the freezer like some other retarded guides cus that will just fuck up your new shoes

if you wear thicker socks that should help the heel situation. i just got some 1461 too and the worse part for me is the creasing in the middle literally feels like its snapping my foot in half every time i walk :(

>>9520126
Also put a metal spoon in your shoes while you microwave them as the radiation then penetrates the leather better and makes them very supple

I ordered the English made ones reduced to £119 from £175 and they've been sent today so I should get them tomorrow. I've read that the English ones are a bastard to break in even more than the Asian made ones.
