I'm going to attempt to do the same, but not execute poorly. I have enough grey in my wardrobe so that I will be able to transition from black for the Spring and Summer and then transition back in black in the later fall. It will be a capsule wardrobe of 33 items including accessories. I'm going to put everything else in a storage container until the Fall. I'll be moving so this will helpful. from my experience the green adds more of a subtle pop to pale fits, but some people prefer navy. I'd say if you feel adventurous get green, if you want to play it safe go blue.
