bigger, more bulkier frames are in rn. tortoise shell is making a comeback as well, and a lot of retro 60's looks are reappearing. try to shop from a small store, make sure you're getting quality shit and not buying from luxottica

i don't know from personal experience, although i work in a frames shop i don't need glasses myself. from what i've seen it really depends on how often you use them, sometimes they can be a bitch. 7/10 on effay scale but they're really great if they're for you

Just bought some club masters in Havana after my current one's foot snapped. Had it soldered back on but it broke again.

I'm going to order some Ayrtons in black from Archibald optics, I found out from them that they're going to start shipping to Australia in the next month. Does anyone have any experience with their quality?

It's been cool "nerd chic" to wear big framed glasses for like 10 years now, but there are big advantages to wearing such glasses.

-Big frames are durable
-Big frames often don't have the little mounted nose pads that are ugly and drive into the nose-bridge
-This probably doesn't apply to OP since his vision likely isn't very bad, but big frames hide thick lenses really well

I think every man who wears glasses with the little nosebridge pads on them deserves to be laughed at.

Yes. You can buy these on eBay from a German seller.

Then you take your glasses prescription with PD measurement (if your eye doctor or optician didn't supply one, you can ask for it. If they won't take it, measure it yourself in the mirror with a millimeter ruler) and mail the frames to www.lensfactory.com. They'll fabricate your prescription lenses, put them in the fame you mailed them and mail it back to you.

I'm currently rocking these. Bought from eBay and got lenses put in them using the method I described.

Despite not having nose pads and bridge resting on my nose, since they're made out of thin titanium, they're light as fuck. I don't even feel them.

They're super light. I mean, when I hold them in my hands, it feels almost like the weight of a folded sheet of paper.

When I'm wearing them, the only part of the frame touching my face is the bridge at the top of my nose, which I can't even feel because, like I said, they're super light.

I'm also considering getting these as well. MOSCOT Zolmon. They're on the pricey side, but I really like how they look. I'll get transparent ones with transitions lenses.

The temple covers (plastic pieces that go behind your ears) keep them from sliding down your face, ASSUMING your glasses aren't too big for you.

If you glasses are too big for you, they would slide down your nose whether they have nosepads or not anyway.
