Someone will post it eventually. Basically, anything from Seiko will be at least decent and a lot of their watches are great, the Seiko 5 line is all automatic watches and they're good, Orient makes some nice stuff like the Mako or Ray or the Bambino if you want something dressier, Citizen makes some decent stuff.

Can anybody tell me anything about Mexx watches? As I understand, Mexx changes their style from season to season so there is no official way of checking the specs. It says Mexx Quartz 805 and 10 ATM on the back. I know its a quartz chronograph and it was relatively cheap (bought it before i knew anything about watches) and so far it served me well.

I said this before earlier in the thread, but lurk watch threads for a while, learn a bit before you make a purchase so you won't regret, you haven't specified a budget but if you can stretch it too $400 the seiko sarb045 and seiko sarb033 are two very good watches. If you can't go that far seiko 5 is a good range to check out, so many different models you will find something you like for pretty cheap and it will be a good watch. Until you start getting into the $500 range seiko are pretty mutch the king of watches, orient and citizen are also pretty good. Fossil and other brands don't give you the best value for money. Which is probably the biggest factor when getting affordable watches, they are decent, but the price on them is too much, seiko and orients are in that price range and are superior, also fossil tend to have a few gaudy oversized designs

Yeah, I totally agree with everything you said. I just get butt hurt when people disregard them cause they're fossil. beyond that, there are open heart watches with good movements but not a whole lot of full skelly watches. most affordable calibres have undecorated mainplates and bridges and when they do it ends up looking like ass because the decorations are cheaply done.
