I actually find them pretty slip resistant. I live in the North, I've walked on a hockey rink with them to test them. Definitely won't slip on water, the only time they have become slick is when snow gets packed into the sole and then you try and walk on smooth concrete. Much more slip resistant than say a leather sole with rubber heel.
