So I have a pair of USDG I haven't worn due to needing a hem.

I'm just gonna send them somewhere since there aren't any good tailors around.

Where should I measure them at? Barefoot? Lows, highs? Also, is the best method to cuff them and then measure how long the cuff is? I am okay with some stacks, but I also want them to be nice and crisp looking.

I agree, the transition will be brutal and dirty looking. I'm prepared for that. Fortunately it appears they fade rather quick. The photos I've seen after a single month are encouraging. I was going to go full /fa/ meme and sleep in or on them every night. I need a cool pair for this summer. I'm just worried it will look stupid as hell if I go with a white t and stan smiths. hopefully the tone is light blue enough and fades will help that case.

Wear with with a grey tee or a jacket to maximize I reckon, also sleeping in it doesnt fade it faster because you're not moving, got a treadmill or something? workout in them, the sweat will bring out the fades. they're cool tho, just wearin all white will be really weird.

APC INFO (to the best of my ability):

Basically you measure your true waist on a pair of fully stretched jeans. For instance lets say its a 33.5 (ish, give or take .5). Now lets say i
want APC new standards.

Now you are looking for the waist to be 1-1.5 inches down from our true size that you measured before. So if you are a 33.5 you would look for 32 or 32.5. In this chart it gives you a tag size of 31.

Cop a 31 (maybe a 30 if you want, but shouldnt. you risk increased crotch blowout and maybe side seams ripping), it will stretch from a measured 32 to about a 33-33.5. Basically it wont stretch past ur maximum waist (use a little logic, its not going to stretch without any pressure, you wont end up with like a 34 or 35 waist miraculously).

Nudie black denim is good. I've had 2 pairs of grim tims but one set got a ripped knee(fell whilst running home drunk) and the other got destroyed at the crotch due to lifestyle choices(slut dropping). But I squat like a motherfucker so if you're more slender they shouldn't be ripping. They're really comfy and stretchy, fit very well and make some sikk fades. I have since upgraded to SLP black denim which I'm trying to look after better.

Fast fading is just desirable for aesthetics. These are -usually- thinner compared to heavier weight denims which do it slower. Also how its dyed makes a difference hit lets not get into that.

If you dont mind proxying theres a tonne of new jap raws on rakuten for cheap, you just need to be lucky with size Nd get your measurements (i.e. Measure your favorite fitted pants and go from there for comparisson)

Most are straight fits tho. Also look into grailed, raws move reeeeally slow (selling one bnwt but thats besides the point).

But if you want something like raw skinnies just get apc's like the other guy said or maaaaybe nudies. If you wanna experience true denimhead material go for the likes of samurai, the flat head, momotaros etc. japan blue is a happy medium imho.

Yeah bro I have those too. So long that the cuffs become doughnuts. I have to double pinroll them. They don't fade as fast as I'd like then too. Worn them about 30 times in the past 3 months and fades are coming threw but not as fast as I expected for a denim to only be 8oZ
