New cut. Had to get an edge up and trim the sides (just left the top)

Since last month I've been using the olive oil and another conditioner. Hair has been a lot more healthier.

I've had long hair my whole life, afro in elementary school, cornrows from middle school until almost the end of college. I cut it because white people don't hire black people with cornrows. Im getting extremely bored with my low cut faded in the back hair. Whats a good hairstyle that will still leave me employable? Im a developer so I have some leeway and I'm not working in a suit and tie type place.

Unfortunately 90% of the shit I'm seeing in this thread wouldn't be allowed in corporate. You could get away with it if you're a programmer, web developer, or a graphic artist, but you're not getting hired at Bank of <insert bank name here> or even a hotel job where you'd be interacting with people.

I know what you're saying. "Fuck that, man! Who cares about corporate!?". Well, unless you're a trust fund, eventually you're going to want to make more than $32,000 a year. That only leaves two options: dangerous union gig (Electrician, Construction, Machinist, etc.) where your knees with be all fucked up by the time you hit 45, or cushy office job (corporate).

Unless you can become self-employed, it's better to the afros, dreads, two-strand twists, cornrows, twistouts, TWAs, and high-top fades now, get yourself used to a low/bald cut (or simple perm + ponytail if you're a girl). If you do it in the future, you'll just lament over having to lose your hair.

S-Curl will permanently change the shape of your hair since it's basically a perm.

If you want to see what the S-curl would look like BEFORE actually trying it, buy this gel called "ECO Styler". It doesn't matter what type (clear vs. olive oil).

Wash your hair well and make sure that it's been fully saturated by the water. Then dry your hair just enough so that it's not dripping. All you have to do next is rub the gel in with your hands (no comb) and let it dry.

However, if I were you, I would just cut that shit for the interview. Money is more important than hair.
