Yeah, my hair gets like this in the summer and it naturally bleaches itself out. It's tolerable then, but in the dead of winter like now, it's a touch darker and it bugs me. I don't think it takes away from my looks, but I know for a fact if I had a different color, I'd do a lot better for myself.

my natural hair colour is a bit lighter than yours, but also light blonde. Just dye it. If you lighten your hair the effect will be much better than on most girls with hair darker than yours (if they bleach them unprofessionally the hair becomes yellowish and damaged) and natural blondes don't usually have the nice dark eyebrows/eyelashes you have.

I dyed my hair last spring and so far I'm really happy with the effect, sometimes I don't dye my roots for like 2-3 months and they still look okay. I wanted to have red hair as well but I don't think my brown-grayish new growth would look good next to the fake red colour tbh. Never considered dying my hair darker (it will make you look older and more serious), but apparently it's less damaging to hair

You could also use a shampoo with amla. It makes your hair darker and it's healthy

you box yourself in when you adhere to a style like that

the problem with colored hair is you can't take it off when you need to do something serious or when you want to dress a different style that day

so styles like that tend to die out
