As far as the "classic Jack Purcell," they took a huge dip in quality. You can still find the older ones around, however. They have nicer leather, nicer insoles, and are all around better designed imo.

Zelenshoes has them I believe. I'm not sure what the deal is, because they seem to restock them all the time. I'm not sure if there is THAT MUCH old stock or some factory is producing them still.

Anyways, I can only comment on the newer, canvas lows. They a'ight. I had to cut up the insole so the vent holes worked, and they aren't too comfy, but I love how they look regardless. My first and only pair of white shoes. I'd gamble that the more interestingly designed jack purcell's suffer the same gambit, but if you like the design more that is honestly probably one of the more important things.
