I got this leather jacket just like this image from my mom (who got it from somewhere in Hollywood on the sunset strip I think), who bought it for my dad back in the 90's, or late 80's, and now I have it... What should I do with it? When, why, where, and how should I wear it? If I keep it in as good of condition as I can how much can I sell it for?

also there is some patch with info on it inside on the back, but the words are faded. the patch is made of leather, what science stuff can I use to read it.. all I was able to read was "hand crafted" and "leather" Its like dark dark grey words on black

Honestly I think this is the hardest style of leather jacket to pull off without looking like a try hard fashion victim. If you have a motorcycle it can be worn without worry, but outside of that you will probably come off looking like a SLP hedi slim man faggot. I would probably wear it zipped up all the way without the flaps folded up. Sounds like you don't have black boots, those would help, if you wear converse you will appear even more punk. Probably won't sell for a lot.

The jacket is bad ass and timeless, like jeans. If it doesn't fit you (too small) then you could sell it. If it fits or slightly big just wear it open with a band t shirt under it. I wear mine all the time open or zipped up with a riding scarf if it's real cold out. Black or blue jeans go with it faded and or torn up. Doc Martens or other black boots, or Converse high tops in black. Think the Ramones, Keith Richards,Lemmy, etc... Enjoy the attention from bitches...it's does give you swagger when you wear it and people ask me where I bought it. Don't live your life worried what others may think of you. They're just a bunch of jealous cunts.

Why? Well, if you're worried about aesthetic, looking for a placement piece, or maybe you just wanna look intimidating, why not.

How? Please do not use it with ill-fitting clothes. If it it's already ill-fitting, I do not know what to do there. (I'm gonna have to agree with >>9383182). If it's lean and fit, having the lean and fit concept is nice. Slacks, jeans, a t-shirt. Whatever. It's versatile as long as you don't try too hard.

I wouldn't sell a piece that's as old as you unless you're in dire need of money. Keep it so you have a story to tell :P.
