Looking to build up a minimalist wardrobe that's easy to travel with, lightweight, can be worn a few times without washing, weather-resistant, etc, but with normal looking clothing.

Anyone have any experience with Merino shirts? Uniqlo Airism is the current choice but I'm wondering if the benefits are worth the cost.

I've heard Airism is shit.

>minimalist

I think you mean basic, retard

outlier is good, I have slim dungarees, merino tee and merino hoodie

How's the tee? Would you wear them all the time?

Mate, that's called basic.

Basics are plain clothing. It has nothing to indicate the amount of them.

uniqlo airism isn't merino is it? They felt like polyester.

I think rayon or some blend with rayon(uniqlo heattech maybe) is the best practical t-shirt for traveling. I wore my rayon shirt almost a month in a row in SEA, only washed it once slightly in a river. My cotton tees got moist, wrinkly and dirty as fuck.

I clicked on this thread when I saw mininalist because I knew there would be these faggots complaining about using that word.
As he said basic means basic clothes and you can have ton of basic clothes but minimalist is quantity wise

>> No.9375045

>>9375029
then the word would be minimal.
not minimalist.

Merino shirts are definitely worth it. If you are going for minimal wardrobe, then you want quality. icebreaker, outlier, ibex are all good. You can wash them in the sink and air dry them and they're ready to go the next day.

I also recommend ex officio for underwear but they're not merino

airism is funky

I mean it's great for the first few hours but the same material that keeps it cool seems to absorb your sweat and it smells weird as shit after a day

Might just have to go full Merino then. I'd heard polyester has about 50% of the performance for about 1/10th of the price.

Exactly this.
