Hello /fa/, /k/ here with a simple question.

On one of my pairs of boots the...Insert? (I think that's what it's called, the removable thing that your foot actually sits on) has always made this really stupid fart like sound for the first 10-30 mins I wear them each day until they get broken in for that day.

The insert basically pops up a bit under my heel when I raise my foot ,and when I step the air is forced out as my heel smashes it down.

Is there some easy fix for this? It wasn't that bad when I first got the boots but it's gotten progressively worse.

Sounds like you are wearing boots that are tad too big, your heel shouldn't really rise if you tie up the laces properly.
You could also try and buy new insoles for them that rest bit tighter on the shoes, also beneficial and more comfortable for your feet if you get good ones that have support.

Where can I get some decent loafers for around $100 or less?

I really have no idea where to even look, and I'm just looking for something that I can slap on in the morning with a pair of brown or khaki pants and a matching sweater. I feel like I've outgrown my brown Vans skate shoes at this point, because my clothes just don't really match with it anymore, not because the color is wrong, but because the style is just completely different.
