I think the raf velcros would add a certain edge to your fit which might be cool, without going overboard. you can never go wrong with the monochrome skate hi's, they're pretty basic and i assume cheaper.

Any combat boots. Those ones look like cheap 'fashion forward' boots. They'll fall apart in a year. If that's fine with you try brands like Aldo, Steve Madden, or Bedstu, the latter probably having the best quality of the three.

For serious rugged army boots, Corcoran makes the best.

If you want a more rugged look that's still well designed, look at Rick Owens combat boots.

Some of my favorite takes on combats are by handmade shoe labels like Layer-0, Carpe Diem, Guidi, and A1923. They've got ridiculous craftsmanship and they age like no other boots. Be prepared to pay though. Pic related are Guidis.

I know fancy boots get expensive, but the quality of construction on most of these is exquisite, particularly the artisanal brands. They'll last for a long time with care andyour feet are in shoes most of the day. Invest in them.

Sure thing! If you find you like the artisan aesthetic but not the prices, some more midrange labels are Marsèll and Buttero. Surprisingly Yoox has some decent stuff. There are lots of good Italian brands that don't really try for large markets outside of Italy or the factory will rebrand them for more well-known labels. Make sure to check reviews first if you're gonna drop any kind of cash though. Also remember that boots are best tried on before purchase. Unlike sneakers, the sizing is so variable and good leather boots will often stretch as the leather beaks in.

I really like platform sneakers, these seemed not too big and not too small for me (6cm), pricey at £99 but i've got some money to spend. But some of my friends are saying i'm crazy for wanting them, although these are all people who dont like my chunky heels obsession
