I think trainers, unless done by a designer label like y3 or collabs like rick and Adidas, are not fashionable, and I don't understand how sweat pants and running shoes ever became considered fashionable.

I've put 500+ miles into multiple running shoes where the sole is gone before any failure with the glue.

If the sewing round the side of a sole helps you justify the cost of luxury sneakers then fine. There is no performance gain though.

Depends on what you classify as running shoes, but most New balance models go with jeans I think. The main thing for more "athletic" shoes to be worn with jeans or chinos is you have to cuff the pants so that they don't break on the top of the shoes.
