I think the more important thing would be to buy an adjustable-length shaver and sort that beard out.
That moustache is a non-starter, try again in a year. Alternatively, keep it as stubble along with a stubble-length goatee.

HYs are difficult to work with. If you want to save yourself some grief you could get it cropped before growing it all out, but then you'd have to grow it past your eyes again (I don't recommend long hair with a fringe.)

1- Conditioner does make your hair stronger, most conditioners help seal your ends to prevent breakage, and if anything helps with knots too.
2- These cloth hair ties are great, they aren't as tight and last a lot longer than regular ones (they're still stretchy but not made of rubber)
3- As long as you can pull it back without stretching your hair too much, like putting it in a loose bun isn't gonna hurt anything, especially with cloth hair ties.
4- If you haven't tried sea salt spray, I reccomend, adds a neat texture, but use sparingly or it looks stringy sort of
5- it depends on your hairline/ forehead size, I think middle part works on you even though I prefer side parts usually
