Asians are ridiculous about wearing brand clothing. I work at an outdoor auction during the summer that's in the middle of the woods, most people who go to it are farmers and working class guys like masons or antique shop owners/collectors. One day a chinese couple popped up (there are literally no asians in our region so they always stick out from everyone else) and they were decked in gucci, lv and ralph lauren. Even though we were in the middle of a field filled with goose poop and who knows what else.

I know someone complained about them before on here with all the Chinese new money kids flooding designer shops in Italy for the sake of owning expensive stuff for street credit. A lot of Japanese that travel to Hawaii also shop the shit out of their boutiques.

Is riding the bus considered poor in NYC?

I think in a big city like NYC, so many women feel like they need to keep up so buy expensive handbags. In Sydney it's the same, the problem with LV is too many fakes so you have no idea if it's real or not

I think women should buy a different expensive handbag but I think everyone recognizes the LV so they want to show off. It's like me wanting to buy a watch and I go for Rolex because people know that brand, even if it's not necessarily the most expensive, it's known for being expensive

I wanted a Rolex before because I like them but then thought I don't want to appear like I am doing it for that reason. I think I will buy something else when I decide what to buy

I have a coach messenger bag that I bought recently, it only has a small coach logo on it. I wanted to avoid the bags that had the coach monogram or whatever pattern they have. First reason is that I don't want it to look like a handbag, second reason is I don't want the attention something like that would get

I have no idea why people would want people looking at their messenger bad and seeing Gucci or LV or whatever monogram on it. I have anxiety though so don't like that kind of attention anyway, other people are different

I do drive a nice sports car but that's different

I take a bus because it's the comfiest way of transportation IMO.

Subway is cheaper, and definitely faster since you're avoiding traffic, but you gotta deal with hundreds of people smothering you and sometimes a train will be delayed because of train traffic or the train's dispatcher.

It's especially fun when the train dispatcher decides to delay the train at a constantly busy stop, so the doors are left open leaving enough time for as much people as possible to cram into the train. Fuck Bleecker Street so much.

Well there's also taking the SI Ferry, which is cheaper but a pain in the ass.

I live on the south end of SI. So I would have to take the SI railroad, which would take me all the way to the north end where the ferry is, then take the ferry to Manhattan, and then from there take a subway to my workplace.

I hate dealing with crowds and hate having to constantly transfer. Plus it's impossible to find parking near the railroad and it's a 20 min walk from where I live.
I'm able to find parking near the bus stop. Plus the bus is an express bus so I get to sit in a comfy seat for almost an hour while I listen to music or play vidya.

I live in CT and usually take Metro-North. On those days when I drive instead I'm pretty much miserable the whole time.

I work as a technical artist for a company that makes slot machine games.

My job is taking all the assets from the games, the art, the music, movies, etc, and converting them to fit templates for social platforms like iphone, ipad and our facebook app.
It's not too exciting but I work with a lot of fun people and you can dress however you want. I'm hoping to one day get a position that has more drawing involved, but I can't complain where I am now. Plus it's right in the heart of the village.

Although coming spring our company is supposed to be moving into the new 1 WTC building. I have mixed feelings about it.

A CK clock, a LV belt and a YSL leather jacket,

Dont get me started on their hygiene and behavior but their consumerism is wild. Decked out in Gucci and LV they will buy anything that says an expensive brand (Versace phone case, givenchi laptop case, ferarri and lambo shit) They buy stupid shit for social status.

The worst offender was this vietnamese kid. He brought to class a $12k alligator backpack to calss everyday. (He liked to remind everyone it cost 12 grand) He wore tons of designer sneakers straight from the runway that looked like shit and he knew it. He only wore them to tell people what they cost and to talk about how much extra it cost to wear sneakers that look like sonic the hedgehog.
