What sort of music are you into? Almost Famous is great for food. Soup Kitchen has decent underground techno nights. There's tonnes of bars like Night & Day, Castle, Dry Bar, Mint etc. that have regular gigs. Sankeys is across the road in Ancoats. Warehouse Project is a 10 minute walk away.

I wouldn't bother buying shoes from M&S. Why would you when you have so many amazing suppliers of Chelsea boots?

I only ever really buy their shirts for work and a few cheap bits (shorts/socks/ties etc)

M&S is great value. But it's still made in china shit with dadcore styling. I wouldn't.

Underground Techno sounds good, anything dark and bassy would be cool. Not just that though, just places where cool bands play, places where DJs play more off-kilter music. I know that's vague but I mainly just want places that are as different as possible from the typical Deansgate clubs and Tiger Tiger, i.e. don't play shit music and aren't full of arseholes.

>>9290059

The M&S quality to price ratio is actually pretty great, particularly on sale. There's a lot of frumpy dadcore stuff about but occasionally you can find some nicely styled stuff made from good materials. They're also seriously great for the entry level suiting game.

Avoid Deansgate/Printworks if you actually want a decent night out. Meandyou at Soup Kitchen is a decent night run by Joy Orbison. Check out Keep It Unreal at Band on the Wall which is more laid back house vibes run by Mr Scruff. They occasionally have techno nights in the basement of Whiskey Jar in the NQ. Also check out house/techno nights at Albert Hall, Gorilla and Antwerp Mansion (these places aren't in the NQ).

In terms of knowing who to see its hard to say really. Sometimes you'll go an see a particular performer/DJ or other times you'll just go for the night and general vibes. Check out the website Resident Advisor it usually has all of the house/techno club listings in the UK you should be able to filter it for Manchester.

I went pretty hard because I knew I'd hate myself if I ended up going to a university I thought of as below my ability. It increased in intensity towards exam season naturally, I had to do more than usual due to a bunch of retakes but it was worth it in the end.

I mainly did a fuckton of past exam papers and brutally marked my work to isolate any gaps in my knowledge and then made sure I knew them later. That is seriously the best way to do it. Further Maths and Chem were probably the hardest, Physics A Level is a such a piss take it's not even funny.

Still had time to hang out with friends and I fucked about a bit a bit too but not as much as in lower 6th. The average AS grades were enough of a wake up call for me to kick myself into shape.

Whatever people say take it with a pinch of salt.
There's always a few fuckfaces on 4cheng who will brag about banging loads of qts. Fucking hell, I swear everyone on /trv/ is a casanova.

Speaking from the perspective of someone who went through uni and out again, most peoples fresher weeks were underwhelming. Like when Japanese people go to Paris. Don't have any expectations and just enjoy the ride. No one will judge you if you don't sleep with loads of girls but if you're lucky and you get around, don't brag about it.

My first year was fairly lucky and I got around. (Got a gf in the second year) However I didn't have very high standards and I was pretty much jumping on anything that moved. I wasn't even a bad looking guy (although I had zero friends at school because I was a douche). However in the first week I just became very outgoing and I was lucky really to make friends who would make me feel good even if I wasn't getting anywhere with girls. Prioritise friends over girls. They've all stuck around whilst the random slags I shagged certainly haven't.

The only other tip I can give is to get out of your comfort zone and don't be narcissistic at all. Ever read that molester man manga? Be like that broccoli guy. In fact if you want to get into the uni and really enjoy it I think you should get off /fa/ immediately.

Good luck m8

bruh come on, you can't keep making things worse for yourself until you feel too much like shit to the point where you're willing to die

Stop the descent and work towards getting shit back on track. I could post a million other pieces of advice for someone suicidal because I've been there, but I don't want to seem condescending.

Just stop that shit and work on making everything better for yourself because it's nobody else's obligation to
