care tags pretty much has a reputation for wanting to stay mediocre due to the large amount of people who are not willing to take criticism and come there just to 'seek refuge from internet bullies'. with the surge of people from teen mfa joining care-tags since it's percieved as a hugbox, it'll probably stay that way until something really "bad" (quotation marks cause it'll probably be better for the community anyway) happens

someone there told me that i should not post there anymore because i'm "tainting [their] community with [my] hurtful words and that [i] have zero empathy"

It definitely is a hugbox in the sense that you are guaranteed postive reputation if you have the right funny and le randumb internet persona. People do give out criticism, but not to certain personas that are approved by the hivemind.

The community and feedback does trump at least /fa/ and sufu, because unlike those places it's not a competition to be the funniest guy with the most brutal ethers all the time.
