Going to on a trip to New York City in a few weeks (from Toronto). What are some things that are way the fuck cheeper or only available in the US that i should cop? looking for relatively inexpensive stores or brands cus im a poor fag.

So far the only thing on my list is a pair of levi's skinnies, since their the only mid range jean that fits me and their like half the price in the US.

Is Uniqlo any good? We dont get them here in Canada.

I think american apparel is a bit cheeper, even adjusted for the exchange rate, if you like overpriced basic shit.

probably the best city in canada on many levels, but toronto and vancouver both have their advantages. one thing i'd trade is the weather, winter sucks but whatever

so most people speak french there? do they speak english too? sorry for my ignorance

well i speak both, french a bit better than english since i went to french school exclusively until college.
you can easily live here with english only honestly, the thing is most people exaggerate how french people act towards english people, which really isn't bad in most cases, some neighbourhoods are very french some are very english and some are bilingual

oh okay, thanks
is there anything fun to do in montreal? toronto is boring and the most interesting thing here is a 553m tall building that does nothing

Not the other guy but also interested in going to mcgill (for med school). I've been quite a few time in my life and whether or not there is anything fun to do really depends on your definition of fun. In general most cities are actually rather similar in terms of things to do if your living there, the only differences really being party or music scens, which is a matter of preference. interms of shopping/eating/drinking its similar to Toronto.
