Invicta has hundreds of "Reserve" models that are all made in Switzerland.

The 8926 ones are fine when you get them for under $70, but no one anywhere has ever paid anything close to MSRP for Invictas. They want $1200 for their giant stupid quartz monster watches, and they want to redefine sizes for men at 52mm, and that 38-42 is for women.

Most of their designs are ugly, agreed. They seem to want to appeal to black people with their oversized watches with hideous rubber straps with metal bars in them and big crowns and such.

Their best designs are their Rolex knockoffs like the Speedway which looks exactly like a Daytona, Pro Diver which looks like a Sub, etc, and these can all be had with Swiss autos. I also was a fan of the Lupah when I first saw it. It's their only original design that looks good.

But I'm still not understanding why the fact that they sell well under MSRP is somehow bad. That I don't get. MSRPs are inflated by nature. Cars don't really ever sell for MSRP either for instance.

>> No.9262578

>>9262576
That's a total franck muller design.

>Their MSRPs aren't really their MSRPs
They aren't. They're inflated. Just like a car's MSRP. Or a house "MSRP."

And I'd be curious to see the QC rates for Invicta, epsecially on their exclusively-Swiss models. They have more models than just about any other brand. There will of course be more misfires than competitors with fewer models to manage, etc.

>> No.9263099

No no, it's not like a car's sticker price or getting a house for 10k less, it's that they never sell their watches for the suggested price anywhere, at any time, ever.

So their Sub replica has a sticker price of $320, no one is ever going to offer it at that price for real, it's just to fool idiots into thinking they're buying nice watches, but they're actually paying what they should be at $64. When a Rolex has a sticker price of $8000, you're going to pay $8000. When a Tissot says $1250, you're paying $1250, and so on.

Here's the guide. Sure it's for poorfags. But you can kind of tell from the selection where the "taste" is.
The only ones that look acceptable are maybe the Orient-46E50, Citizen-BM7190, and the Seagull-2542 ones.

That's an updated guide which I haven't seen and sure I agree there are some lovely ones in the Midranges, but I mean ones like the Steinhart Ocean One honestly just looks so plain. Nothing really stands out unless you are looking at it up close and/or you know what it is yourself. Otherwise I can literally walk to a shitty marketplace in China where they sell hundreds of cheap shitty watches and a lot of them will look like that one.
And I'm not even gonna mention that Hamilton Ventura Quartz "tryhard Look at me I'm so different!!" one...that's just retarded.

I can pick some of the dressy watches from the guide and they'll look similar "from a distance" to this Fossil one. It's a pretty standard dressy watch with leather strap and silver body and white face. What exactly about it "makes you look retarded"? I mean, yeah, it's a Fossil. It's cheap. But it doesn't look retarded. Not all of them anyway. All brands have at least some watches that look retarded. I've seen ugly as fuck Rolexes everywhere.
