Lets start off with some OC right off the dyledave ovens. Can you just admit you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about instead of writing these ridiculous paragraphs. Seriously this shit is so fucking embarrassing

>Julius_7 is a meditation on the post-apocalypse. Not the post-apocalypse we are familiar with, but the destruction and creation of meaning, and how this process manifests. Throughout the seasons of Julius_7 a contemplation of void and inhumanity is present. Models are pale, strange and sickly. The clothing is austere, black or white in alien fabrics, defying form of conventional Western dress through lack of familiar detail and structure. Construction evokes a feeling of chaos. Seams arbitrarily course through synthetically treated fabric and skin, traditional concepts of dress like the suit are sartorially twisted into a different identity, destroying and creating meaning.

>Here we have a a pair of cargo pants from 'Thieves’ A/W 2005 - Julius_7's applauded inaugural season - that embodies the design discussed above. Huge pockets, bondage, an unsettlingly beautiful blend of angora wool and ramie. These elements, paired with the show’s title evoke a power dynamic of protecting and taking value/meaning. Pockets to carry away and keep, bondage to hold off and harbor, the material itself being collected (stolen) from the defenseless angora rabbit.

>Construction is informed by concept. Bondage and buttons allow the owner to adjust between a skinny and slightly roomier fit. Pockets are large but do not break silhouette. Fabric is comfortable and warm. Composition is sturdy and uniquely well-made. These pants work best with similarly utilitarian/militant pieces, such as leather jackets, trenchcoats, M-65‘s/MA-1‘s/Fishtails, etc. Minimal sneakers and leather military footwear complement this piece well.

Seriously the psuedo-intellectual bullshit is palpable.

>Comme des Garcons is not strictly a label, business, or design house. It is a fully realized world of subversive, intelligent fantasy. Driven by the creative genius of Rei Kawakubo, the Comme des Garcons we know today grosses profits in the hundreds of millions, with product offerings ranging from haute couture to kitchen accessories. Their many stores in both East and West are wonderlands that meditate on how and why we buy, rejecting the structures of mainstream consumerism and offering thoughtful alternatives.

>This philosophy was first born in the clothing of Comme des Garcons, and continues to manifest in their many lines. Here we have a pair of Comme des Garcons Homme Plus F/W 2012 cropped trousers. Immediately noticeable through the photos is the shape, expanding dramatically around the knee to quickly taper at the crop. This is an interesting silhouette, foreign to a Western audience, especially for a cold weather outfit. Fabric is substantial but pliable and breathable. Zipper and buttons are durable and dependable. Stitching is expertly and intricately done, necessary for the nuanced construction.

>One might be lost on how to wear these, due to their involved design. Comme des Garcons, in philosophy and practice thrives on experimentation and latent thought, and their products encourage you to think for yourself. These trousers are no different. Possible outfits might consistent of other pieces that subvert conventional shapes/silhouettes. Perhaps an oversized top (long white shirt or black coat), paired with tall boots that reach the crop. Perhaps sneakers or derbies with quiet or loud socks. To this piece’s merit, while the construction is different, they are subdued in color and detail. This makes them casually accessible while still adding nuance to every outfit. They work just as well with artisanal shirting and footwear as they do with a white tee and work boots. Possibilities are endless and exciting.

>Challenge yourself.

>What is there to say about Yohji Yamamoto that hasn’t already been said? He is one of the most important fashion designers/artists of the 20th/21st century. His work has expressed the oft-ignored feelings of the post-atomic Japanese generation and cultivated a thriving global scene of artists and activists that wear and love his clothing. This only begins to realize his genius.

>Here we have a pair of belted trousers from his Y’s line. The most immediately striking detail of this piece is the fabric. A beautifully nuanced charcoal cotton, soft to the touch, evoking a romantically rustic feeling. This is a quality consistent amongst Yohji’s work, his ability to conjure an immediately familiar relationship between piece and observer is unparalleled.

>The pants cut is comfortable, striking a soft silhouette. Button fly, Back pockets w/flap, elasticated cuffs. Shape starts slim, curving gracefully towards the knees and tapering at ankle. The aesthetic is peaceful while maintaining an air of mystery. Another aspect of Yohji’s brilliance in design is his piece’s accessibility. While full of character on their own, they meld into any wardrobe seamlessly. Wearable with complex or simple pieces, tuck in your top to expose the belt detail or cover it to make them a quiet yet beautiful pair of pants.

>Insanely unique parka from vintage UC. Perfect for the techwear aesthetic. Comes with great utility with 2 deep lower pockets and a horizontal chest pocket. Hood and bottom hem width can be adjusted by tightening the strings. Nylon type material with the ability to keep the elements out. Incredibly warm for how lightweight the jacket is.

i don't even mind theory crafting or a ernest attempt at developing some sort of lore within a universe but...

this is all so badly informed even within its own condition...
so, let's accept julius as some sort of reproach to post-apocalyptic reverence.
sickly would be weary expression, slow and laboured walk, uncanny fatigue etc and makeup to design disease and what dyle described.

but in actuality we observe:
models are healthy, young, tall men, often choreographed to have an aggressive and permisive stride on the runway - imposing and antagonistic maybe. the makeup supports these claims.

it doesn't defy western dress code in any sense... maybe it dramatises or contorts it to a distressed appearance but those pieces are often exceptions.
what are alien fabrics?

haha, let's accept 'feeling of chaos'
seams join fabric and hold load.
where is this synthetically treated notion coming from?
sartorially twisted - sure, can accept that

it's just random gargling, often mistaken, nothing is being said

but the more important question is.
why does this matter?
