Well, as linen is a rather stiff material, it wrinkles relatively easy. However you won't get those large wrinkles you would get on say, a poplin shirt. Another important factor is that as the shirt is black, you won't see the wrinkles except when looking relatively closely.
Imo the wrinkles just give the fabric an even more rugged look, which I think is the purpose of the shirt.
It's really thick so it's brilliant for winter.

poors don't understand the appeal behind simple clothing...

for poor people, they think more color, more patterns are better (see most Nike shoes, Jordans, Supreme clothes... gaudy as fuck) and they think gaudy trash like Versace and Givenchy are the pinaccle of fashion because they're so loud

but real wealthy people understand that there is beauty even in the simplest of things, and true fashion resides in minimalistic scandinavian streetwear brands like Our Legacy and Norse Projects

tbh it serves an aesthetic and the prices really aren't that extortionate compared to the others listed, most of which is manufactured in turkey.

Personally, I've only ever bought one piece from OL at retail, and it was a shirt which I know is of a decent quality from the previous ones I'd bought. Also the general cut of the clothing is up my alley.

The overall look most people on /fa/ go for when they purchase OL/Acne/APC/etc is very boring, I must admit it, but I feel theres more interesting styling choices available, for Our Legacy atleast..

Most people would've already just attacked by now, but just to prove a point, A lot of the pieces you buy, Julius, DBSS, CCP, etc are interesting in terms of cut, fabric, aesthetic, but also even you can lean towards "safer" options, whether this is a confidence issue though, I dunno.

For its retail price definitely not, but I wouldn't pay retail for any expensive pseudo high quality basics.

>>9246489
You make it seem as if anyone who buys high quality basics is an elitist and/or lacks confidence, but that is just stupid. And its funny because you seem so narcissistic and elitist yourself thinking all your avant garde clothing makes you better. Honestly you're just a poseur wearing all these clothes, and no matter how much confidence you have, you'll never be able to look natural in any of your fits. It's how you look; your clothes don't go well with your appearance and who you are. If someone thinks that they look good in basic/timeless pieces, but wants more than mall tier garbage then it seems reasonable that they would look into high quality basics.

Why wear things that don't flatter your body/personality and embarrass the very designer's clothing that your sorry ass bought just because it was cool/cheap (I'm still laughing at you for buying a purple Rick jacket because it was cheap). I like avant garde designers and appreciate their clothing, but it's just stupid to think that I should wear it all because I think they look neat. It's not about confidence, it's about having common sense that one's look/personality/whatever clashes with the designer's vision/clothing.

uniqlo has worked extensively with down (look @ their fantastic packable, ultra light down jackets), developed their own proprietary heattech fabric, which is head and shoulders technically over anything OL has offered,
i mean, uniqlo have done numerous experiments with tratement/bleaching - look at their recent indigo blue project
uniqlo offer linen, cashmere (including the stretch cashmere), waffled fabrics (both in their regular teas and heattech), etc, etc
i don't really consider the use of linen or silk (even though both are beautiful fabrics) particularly interesting when you consider the actual innovation of a textile like heattech

and this is from a brand that operates at about the quarter of the price-point of our legacy, if not less

then go pick up some from our legacy

if you weren't so busy samefagging and sucking your own cock you would see how ridiculous his comment was. i don't even have an our legacy boner, don't own a single piece from them. i've tried a lot on in stores and i've been to a uniqlo. there's no way you can compare the two without making yourself out to be an idiot.

>> No.9251132

>>9251077
by this logic every brand in history experiments with fabrics since they all offer different washes/treatments/materials

levi's are especially innovative i mean, look at their red rain wash, which is available in the 511 or 510 cut. or what about their jet black denim which come in cuts ranging in a wide array of whole numbers such as 501, 508, 510, 511, 522, etc. they've also experimented with the classic "trucker jacket," with their latest endeavor which can be found in a french terry blend.

>> No.9251138

>>9251117
no one was comparing anything besides fabric design, which unqilo honestly shits on OL which is really unsurprising because uniqlo is a much bigger company and OL doesnt need to do anything interesting or innovative to sell their clothes, function is not a selling point for their consumerbase

ive handled both and of course OL is like 10x the price, uniqlo isnt as good quality but its sure as hell not 10x worse, uniqlo is far better considering the pricepoints and even the designs

I'm not trunks but I'll answer anyway, to get the ball rolling. Dries is an amazing designer who seems to be at the peak of his powers in terms of runway. I don't really think we need to go into this too much, because I assume given the preceding conversation the question has more to do with garment quality. Faust likes to tell the story of Dries' grandfather, the local tailor, who would have his customers bring him their suits and he would pull them apart, reverse them and sew them back together to get more use out of the clothing. So Dries has this artisan family history that's supposed to elevate his dedication to fabrics and construction, quality etc. but at the end of the day his production is still managed by Pier SPA, who produce for brands like KVA, SLP and Tommy Hilfiger. People here can tend to be pretty scathing in their criticisms of the quality of these brands at times, and it's difficult to imagine that DvN's quality is any higher than those other brands mentioned. Perhaps he sources better fabrics, perhaps not, perhaps all of these brands produce quality clothing and the factory is an excellent one and the detractors have some other motivations, it's just something to consider. Though when you can't oversee production and it's in the hands of someone else who has thousands of other orders to fill from brands that represent a lot more $$$ to them than you do, it's unlikely you'll get a product of the highest quality.

I like that they're zipped pockets. It always feel like whatever you keep in your pockets when wearing track pants will fall out.
I'm also aware that Michael Kors have 'a bad rep' but they can't possibly be that bad and surely wouldn't skip a pair that are functional, looks good and inexpensive just to please /fa/.

My second choice would have been a pair of EA7. But my favorite pair of those weren't in my size nor had they zipped pockets.

The brand is the smallest reason for that purchase, it could've been any other quality/respectable brand and I'd get them. The only branding is a small MK plaquet in the same color as the pants so I doubt anyone would even know.

>it was a track pant
Well, running in jeans would be even more silly now wouldn't it?

>burberry belts are cool, just kinda silly
It's reversible and I'll probably just end up using the all black side of it. Mostly got that one because it was crocodile leather and I've taken a liking to exotic leathers.

>i think v necks are lame
Haven't used v-necks a lot myself but I think it probably looks nice if you can pull it off.

The best JP tee is the carbon colored marl IMO. I own it, real attractive tee. It was like $150 though as opposed to the regular $70-ish (roughly converting to USD here).

You should pull the trigger on the MMM now really. It will be gone soon, and with MMM though the shirting is appalling (creases 1000x worse than the pink Raf sweater does in 10 seconds of wear) and some other random items crease or are shit quality, the knits and sweats are top end every time. And the fit of everything they do is literally perfect, glove-like unless you're legit SLP mode.
