Extreme example but you think this stuff is attractive? (protip: it's not)

Sure you can say the clothing is fashionable and artistic and all that, but in the end nobody cares about your playing with proportions and silhouettes

I mean, just make a list of garments 99.99% of the population wear: t-shirts, jeans, shorts, dresses, skirts, sweaters... They all follow the shape of the human body pretty closely...

I absolutely adore baggy pants on women, but baggy jeans just seam disgusting to me. It's in the way the fabric is too stubborn to move or something.

Oh, God. Okay. No.

>Sure you can say the clothing is fashionable and artistic and all that, but in the end nobody cares about your playing with proportions and silhouettes

For starters, we don't fuck and talk and play and struggle with bodies, we fuck and talk and play and struggle with humans *through* our bodies. When we feel powerfully drawn to someone, it's never only about flesh, but about humans - about life, about feelings and expectation and memory.

>I mean, just make a list of garments 99.99% of the population wear: t-shirts, jeans, shorts, dresses, skirts, sweaters... They all follow the shape of the human body pretty closely...

I'm not attracted to or looking to have in my life 99.99% of the population, are you?

>Why? Because it looks good

And this is the kind of fallacious, arrogant basicness that set me off: you can't really possibly believe there's one way to look good. That you know or get or decide what it is for everyone. That everyone, or anyone, is just interested in looking "good," or good, all of the time, or wants their partners to do so. Can you?

Besides all of that, >>9241966 makes me want to fall into it and cuddle and spoon against those swaths of fabric for days and >>9241978

Yes, but what sparks the initial attraction is the person's appearance. While a person's attractiveness varies based on cultural and social factors, as well as personal preferences, I'm sure you can agree that we as humans are drawn to attractive people (not clothes).

>I'm not attracted to or looking to have in my life 99.99% of the population, are you?

If you don't find the type of clothing most people wear attractive, that's fine.

>And this is the kind of fallacious, arrogant basicness that set me off: you can't really possibly believe there's one way to look good. That you know or get or decide what it is for everyone. That everyone, or anyone, is just interested in looking "good," or good, all of the time, or wants their partners to do so. Can you?

I never implied there's only one way to look good. It's just my opinion that while clothes like >>9241966 can be attractive themselves, they don't make the person wearing them more attractive. But of course, looking good is not the only reason for fashion, and not everyone cares to look good, like you said.
