I use notebooks and those colourful Staedtler pens for most courses.
I take notes with a manual pencil in language courses, then rewrite them in pen for studying. I type my notes sometimes, but I'm less efficient when I do

I use Moleskine for the same reason and I like the size of the large volant (two or three can fit in my handbag without a problem). I use Leuchtturm for my language classes though because I often refer back to notes about grammatical structures and vocab.

I've some to the conclusion that people who take notes on a laptop aren't actually internalizing anything, it's just faster. I have two Lamy pens I use pretty interchangeably and two five star notebooks (1 normal 1 graph). I looked into moleskine notebooks but I prefer the bigger sheets of paper, although I'm sure for anything except taking notes I'd probably want a moleskine. My handwriting is awful but writing with nice pens makes me actually want to take a lot of notes for some reason (probably autism).

Any writing utensil I have at hand range, 5-star notebooks because binders are shit and I always end up losing sheets. I use a Sierra something backpack because they hold together for years.

Yeah, I guess they're cheap, but I've never really liked those, or pens in general (with the exception of fineliners, since they're always the same darkness).

Pic related is my favorite pencil. The lead feels kinda "soft" when you're writing. It's really nice compared to any other pencil I've tried. There's no way to describe it really. And I hate the yellow Staedtlers. They're worse than dollar store pencils. The lead gets all crumbly and smudgey if you push down too hard.

I had really bad / messy handwriting up till some point in HS and got bored one day, wrote my name like that, thought it was more readable, and gradually started writing more stuff like that. Now I can do it pretty fast :^)

I love sharpening pencils. I bought a long point sharpener and it's the best, although it makes my friends and class mates feel weird. Sometimes I use a lead holder for scantron exams but I haven't had one in years.

I use a cheap ballpoint pen but it rights smooth as fuck. my handwriting is decent when i take my time to make it look ok like pic related, but normally it's not that great.

Never take notes apart from this one information theory class because there's no course material. Don't want to get distracted + notes are mostly useless.
