Regarding vests

I know there are some rules regarding the buttons of a leather jacket, but how are you supposed to button a formal vest? I have a 4-button vest and I'm wondering if there's a certain one you need to/don't need to button or if you just button them all.

Also, is it acceptable to wear a striped shirt under this kind of vest? I tried it on and I think it looks okay.

Ay /fa/ reposting this.

Just copped N&F black power stretch SSG. How do these fit? In particular, is the thigh and up a good fit? Would I benefit from sizing down to a 30? Feel like I could waist wise assuming they'd stretch (I can fit an almost full fist in the waist section) but the thighs jump down a quarter of an inch so that's what worries me, especially since I'm working on getting a little /fit/

The anon in the last thread suggested I take them to get them tapered, which is what my intention is but I wanna size for the top correctly. So as they stand now, would I benefit from a size down or should I just go get them tapered for 20 bucks at a local tailor? It wouldn't be chan stitched but I don't think for black that's a big deal.

Thanks.

Friend, I can tell you are ridiculously new.

You don't wear bootcut jeans ever. They aren't fashionable, they really don't flatter anybody, and they look silly.

Lurk a FUCK ton but I'll get you started.

Go get some Levi's 511's in rigid dragon until you know what you are going for. (unless hungry skelly then maybe 510s but eh)

Get some normal t shirt colors in earth tones.

For jackets - personally I like field jackets. If you are fit they are a good choice. Hit up a milsurp store and buy a fitting one in olive. If not /fit/, maybe just stick to something like bombers or something depending on weather.

Sneakers - Adidas Gazelles are pretty cool I think, and really aren't getting played out as fuck like stan smiths or sambas. They are easy to pull off, casual, and perfect. And there you go - olive field jacket + white t shirt + dark wash jeans + some basic sneakers and you've successfully completed basic leddit bitch 101 and can start hunting around for more interesting pieces.

Okay /fa/ here is the deal. I just got pants. I have tiny thighs, so I don't need a lot of thigh room, but I like keeping it open since I'm starting to do a little squat.

I just got some jeans but they aren't very skinny. Feel like sizing down would hug my thighs too much, but I have a decent amount of space so that it doesn't look like sausage casings or anything.

If I went and got them tapered from the knee down, would they still look "skinny" (not skintight mind you) or would the space in the thigh ruin everything?

>> No.9171249 [DELETED]

>>9171246
it's fine. even recommended if you have an athletic build.

selvedge jeens are harder to get tapered just FYI

>> No.9171255

>>9171249
I don't actually have an athletic build or anything (pic isn't me) I'm pretty skinny as fuck, so that's why I was wondering.

Also yeah, thankfully the pair I'm looking at isn't selvedge though so I won't have this problem.

>> No.9171268

>>9171246
It's certainly possible, to some extend. A few cm (3-5)is doable, bring it to a qualified tailor and he'll be capable of keeping the selvedge intact. However do remember that by just tapering the lower leg, there's a tendency for the fabric to stack at your knees. The so called knee bags. Or billow just above your knees, a kind of stacking if you may. Keep it however around that 3-5 cm area and you should be fine.

>> No.9171275

>>9171268
Also i wouldn't do this untill you're sure that you've stretched out the fabric enough by normal wear. I've had plenty of pants that i considered thigh hugging for the first 2-3 weeks that eventually loosened up to a comfortable level. Not sure if those stantons are sanforized, i'd look into that.

Alright, thanks for the advice. Pic related isn't me or anything, I'm actually up >>9169697 with the black power stretch. Currently pondering sizing down one since they don't fit that snugly on my waist, but I was a little more concerned about the lower legs. Anyways, I wasn't even planning on a 3 cm taper, more like a 2 cm taper in britbong terms. If the thigh will loosen up though, I might try sizing down and seeing what happens.

Does anyone know of some raw denim that are deep indigo like that pic for muscular thighs? I squat and deadlift a lot so my thigs are 24 inches right below my butt and my butt is pretty big as well so to accommodate I need a big back rise and slightly bigger thighs. I have a true 34 inch waist usually wear a size 32. the problem is all the raw denim I find for my build isn't the color I want, I want something exactly like that pic or like pure blue japan in pic related. I was looking at left field nyc greaser jeans and those seem to be the measurements I need but they arent the really dark indigo color I'm looking for. help would be really appreciated Ive been looking for options for like a week now

ah see I've actually looked at those but after reading some forums and stuff I don't quite know if they would fit me as some people with my build say they would but others say the thighs are too tight. they measure 11.5 thighs for my size but my thighs are 24 inches so i'm afraid they would be skin tight. i'm just nervous to pull the trigger on a 250$ pair of jeans that I can't return if the cut isn't right for me

This might strike your fancy. Enough room in the top block with a taper and a lovely overdyed-esque hue.

Generally i find that a more rigid denim like this 18oz. works better for those with bigger thighs. Lighter fabrics tend to rope around.

They are a bit pricey though, but well worth it. However if it's too rich for your blood you could check out cultizm. They offer a solid collection in denim.

Man I would drop the money on them in a heartbeat if I knew they would fit. like I said my thighs are 24 inches around right below the butt and 23 inches around further down. the measurements listed on those put the thigh at 11.75 so 23.5, would that be too tight or ok do you think? for reference I wear a pair of size 32 levi 501's right now and they are as tight as I want to go

I don't know man, don't really have an image on what 24 inch thighs might look like.

imo bomber jackets look better in black/olive/grey especially the puffy og versions.

if you want a maroon or navy jacket i would go for a harrington jacket.

I was 190 around the beginning of year so basically about as fat as you were. It feels incredible to actually fit in regular people clothing and not have your belly stick out in whatever you wear.

Sort of relapsing right now though ;-;, been eating to my TDEE (probably more) for like 2 weeks now. I've really missed the feeling full and now I can't stop.

How would I go about getting my hands on this 1990 LL bean baxter state parka, in this color blue? Are they completely out of production (almost 100% sure they are but I don't know shit about shit)?

Also how do I stop buy so much blue shit? All my favorite fits are either blue, or blue and orange.
