They're large boots. Is that what you want? I would advise you to see them in person before buying.

These are chunky, seasonal boots than can only really be paired with other rugged pieces of workwear. If that's what you need to wear every day go for it, otherwise there are more versatile options to spend your money e.g. a nice chukka.

Like I said I'm a fan of the chukka, it's got enough support that you can wear it with jeans on the weekend and it's smart enough for "business casual" too.

Recommendation wise I only buy shoes made in Northampton.

>> No.9074084

i bought into the hype and got a black pair a few years back

still wear them today, but they're really just too narrow in shape for my liking. i prefer a chunkier boot and bigger sole. should have spent a little more on beckmans.

pro tip: if you oil/condition them up don't immediately wear them, or you'll soften the leather to all fukin hell and make the boots all wobbly and wrinkly. one of the shafts on my pair is pretty ugly now

Hawthorne looks pretty damn good after a couple of months of wear. That said Amber is more classic and what I went with.

amber is too dark, and only gets darker over time after conditioning/oiling.

copperrufftuff gives that insta patina effect and is light to start with, so you can darken it if you wish

So the copper rough will in time look like the amber one on the picture on the site, while the amber one will darken a lot?

Is that it?

Also how can I darken them or does that happen naturally?

I own amber Iron Rangers. They are absolutely fucking amazing look IRL. Hurt my feet really badly for about 6 days but now they're really comfortable. I can't state enough how good they look. I've seen people with other pairs of boots just staring at them.

>> No.9077700

>>9073967
Get them in black so you don't look like a 2012 mfa workwear fag

>> No.9077709

I owned a pair of Iron Rangers for a little over a year. They were always uncomfortable as hell. And I hope you don't plan on using them in the winter because they are slippery as shit. The toe is kinda bulbous but that's what you get at that price range. I eventually sold them and got some Viberg service boots.

>> No.9077851

Depends on how casual you mean. They're dress boots, but the broguing makes them "casual" on some level. They're fine to wear with jeans.
