while he'll definitely be saving money on overall expenses i'm pretty sure the move from a brick and mortar store to a webstore was to cut back on the sheer amount of time he was wasting. as a full time student he can't afford to be sitting around in a room full of designer clothes for a few hours every day in a small city with an even smaller demographic, and he definitely can't afford to be hiring anybody. the reason he started cutting back the opening hours of the store, and eventually going so far as closing the store, was that he was trying to focus on his studies. the move from physical to web is going to give him greater opportunity to maintain a decent stock while investing less hours.

regardless, i feel he has a lot of integrity. while it's definitely an opportunity for him to be building a name and creating industry connections he's also doing something good for the community by actually bringing these pieces together and offering people the opportunity to pick up fantastic shit for completely reasonable prices. developing cities like adelaide definitely need people like him. he's definitely a far shot from grailed/ebay resellers with a stock list straight from rakuten and y!jp. local scene matters, man
