How come nobody is talking about Galliano @ MMM? Is this the final step to the doom of the House? I mean, at least post 2009 margiela is still consistent with the founder's principle, but I can't really figure Galliano's pirate costume on a MMM runaway

Like others have mentioned in this thread, Galliano is polarized to Margiela which I think is a good thing. Galliano has the Haute Couture touch, everything he does is very dramatic and feminine. Watch a show of his and count how many pants you see,I'll send you a signed copy of Black Swan™ for each one.

The decline of MMM as you know it? Most likely. Galliano has always had a sense of the avant-garde in his fashion, albeit in a different way. He's definitely very creative, and in that sense I think he's good for Margiela. Frankly, I don't care if MMM burns to the ground if it means Galliano's back in the industry. I'm really very curious what direction he's going to take the house in. I'd say this is by far the biggest challenge of his career, but the fact that his first collection for the house is the artisanal gives me hope.
